Cancergiggles is an idiot's guide to accepting, living with, laughing at and dying from cancer. The very, very last bit I can't be absolutely sure of, but then who the hell can? I could have written some beautifully crafted, grammatically correct essays but I hope you will understand, that when I say "I don't have a lot of time" I mean it far more literally than you do. BETTER THAN MORPHINE

I thought I knew about the effects of medication until today. Back into the chemo but still feeling pretty ok and this morning I posted a comment to Fat Buddha who was feeling pretty rough. I just suggested that it may lighten his day to read my little blog. Sadly that didn’t help but nevertheless he kindly posted a link to me on Metafilter. I became aware of this about 2 hours ago and since then seem to have had around 2000 visitors to Cancergiggles compared with my normal 150-200 per day and many of them have emailed me with very, very nice comments. Large quantities of adrenalin injected directly into the heart don’t have this effect. With the stats increasing faster than Kim and Rita could hit the refresh button, I have sat amazed that so many people can be so kind in a world which we all think of as being so self obsessed. I hope that I normally make people smile or laugh – at the moment I can’t – I’m just very touched. But it’s early.
