Cancergiggles is an idiot's guide to accepting, living with, laughing at and dying from cancer. The very, very last bit I can't be absolutely sure of, but then who the hell can? I could have written some beautifully crafted, grammatically correct essays but I hope you will understand, that when I say "I don't have a lot of time" I mean it far more literally than you do. I just wanted scribble a few thoughts to maybe light a spark in people - and then it became a book about Cancer, Life, Death, Illness and Politics. ISBN 0955198801

SLUDGEAWAY

End of another cycle of chemo so within a few days the nervous system should return to something like normal.  As the sludge lifts and the skin gets reconnected to the central processor, the world takes on an entirely different form.  The chemo screensaver disappears and all my icons reappear in full and glorious Technicolor - for about 4 days until the start of the next cycle.  To some, it may seem an attractive proposition, to be out of touch with reality for 80% of the time, but I have to admit that I prefer the wine induced variety, because you get to choose your own times and levels.

I am going to ask my occupational therapist if she can fix the weather for me.  I can see no reason why it needs to rain and be cloudy when I’m off the chemo and ready cook food outside.  I don’t want to bother the Head Wizard because he’s probably off fixing volcanoes and outbreaks of pestilence and such like.   Everyone needs a hobby.
