Cancergiggles is an idiot's guide to accepting, living with, laughing at and dying from cancer. The very, very last bit I can't be absolutely sure of, but then who the hell can? I could have written some beautifully crafted, grammatically correct essays but I hope you will understand, that when I say "I don't have a lot of time" I mean it far more literally than you do. I just wanted scribble a few thoughts to maybe light a spark in people - and then it became a book about Cancer, Life, Death, Illness and Politics. ISBN 0955198801

YIPPEE MORE CHEMOTHERAPY!

In a couple of days I am off to see one of the most amusing and honest of the Doctors I have met. I try to disrupt his daily ritual as much as possible. If you smile and answer "fine apart from the dying" when asked how you are, it really catches them off guard but I pride myself on my bedside manner. This visit is to organize an imminent course of chemo to try to delay the "being dead" bit of the cancer by a few months/years/decades. I will continue my convention of not naming individual doctors unless the chemo makes me feel like crap. In this case I will be unable to continue my cancergiggles entries as normal and have asked my wife to make hourly posts along the lines of.
It is Dr XXXXXX who has made Cass feel lousy. He should be struck off
It is Dr XXXXXX who has made Cass feel lousy. Please send complaints about him to.....
It is Dr XXXXXX who has made Cass feel lousy. He drives a xxxxx and his license plate is xxxxx
On reflection I hope he doesn't see this because he may just give me pink aspirins and inject me with saline solution. I suspect him to be bit of a practical joker!
